Jámis ja háldit

“Jámis Ja Háldit” (Ghosts & Spirits) is a series shot in Lapland, the largest and northernmost region of Finland. In the Finnish popular traditions, Lapland still represents something very mysterious. This myth is often associated with ancient Sami beliefs, a tribe from the Great North who remains today the last indigenous people in Europe.

In the Sami mythology, everything on earth has a soul, thus every thing or every being owns its own story. Several hundreds of kilometers above the Arctic polar circle, Camille Lévêque tried to capture the essence of this land, where majestic landscapes and ancient rites blend in a mystical ballet at the border of esotericism.
